Mastering the Chakra System… when it’s lifting up to higher frequency energies.
A sound understanding of the chakra system is an important part of intuitive development. Although we have seven main chakras, they are multi-layered. The ‘second’ chakra system comes into our awareness once we have learnt to master the first.
Mastering the first takes some effort. For some, this happens spontaneously, for others it takes some focused work. So what does it mean to ‘master’ the main chakra system and what’s the point?
Mastering the chakra system means that all the elements of the emotions are in balance.
The chakras are our energy centres but they are also our metaphorical ‘dustbins’.
When the base chakra is moving to the next level
I always start with the bottom chakras and move up the body. Unlike Reiki, development works from the base upwards. This is because anyone who is interested in their development generally has the upper chakras in good balance, it is the lower ones that are often suffering. If you are constantly working on the upper ones, to the neglect of the lower chakras it eventually sends the body out of balance.
When the base chakra is going through a shift into the second chakra system you will find that all that is familiar to you begins to shift and change. The base chakra in its fundamental state is about survival and what makes us get up in the morning and go to work or to do the things we have to do. When it is making its shift into a higher frequency it begins to jiggle about all that we have ‘secured’ ourselves with.
When the base chakra is gathering higher energies, it can go through a ‘crisis’ in order to create noticeable change. This may manifest as a sudden and incredible dislike of your job, perhaps wanting to change it to something more flexible but feeling trapped with your present lifestyle. It could even be a sudden and unexpected illness. It will in any case involve a tremendous sense of insecurity, something you’ve perhaps not felt before. These are all possible signs that you are moving into the higher frequency energies. Once they are settled in the base, there is a strong sense of security, no matter what the external world presents.
When the sacral chakra is moving to the next level
The sacral is fundamental to our sense of creativity. Human beings are naturally strongly linked to creative expression. This is what gives a sense of purpose to life. If our creative senses are squashed then we begin to feel our life is leaking away. Where things in life become too repetitive the expression begins to disappear. Think about celebrities and celebrity lifestyles. Why do these very successful people, one might ask, continue to work when they have pots of money in the bank? It’s because these are usually very creative people, they continue because they need the creative expression – more often than not, it’s not about the money in the bank, as that is secondary to their true experience.
When the sacral begins to rise in frequency, you start to welcome change with a sense of excitement even though it may be mixed with trepidation. It’s about embracing that change even though it might be uncomfortable. When you start to go through sacral chakra changes into a higher frequency, you will find yourself embracing the idea of something new, enjoying taking risks and finding that it’s ‘ok’ to sometimes fall flat on your face. To then feel brave enough to get up, dust yourself off, and continue without worrying what other people may or may not think.
When the solar plexus is moving to the next level
The solar plexus is the centre of the mind. The brain is in the head, the solar plexus is the avenue for the mind. We, as humans, make the mistake of thinking we control our reality from the position of the ‘head’ the intellect. How far we are from the truth! It is the body that rules, often though we have no idea it is doing it. The body rules through feelings, reactions and emotions. The solar plexus is the centre of our intuitive instincts.
When the solar plexus begins to move to the next energetic level, your sense of personal power changes and you begin to feel comfortable in your own skin, feeling you are in control of your reality. The process of that change though can be extremely challenging. When experiencing this particular shift, it is possible to feel very lonely in this world, as though few understand or are comfortable with who you are. Your identity begins to shift and in that process friendships might change; where you could be manipulated previously, it just doesn’t work that way with you anymore. You begin to find it difficult to run your life according to other people’s rules. This is the point at which I have seen many people change relationships that have not worked for them. They change them either by changing their partner or by changing how they respond to them. Most people, at some point in their life, operate from the victim mentality. That is, they focus on what has been done to them, how someone else’s behaviour affects them etc.
The move into the higher frequencies of the solar plexus means that although people may behave in the same way, your response has become something different. You find yourself unbothered about how someone else is or isn’t; your solution is to either accept or reject. The rejection it is to walk away without expecting someone to change; to respect that you have no right to make someone different, it is their own choice. What’s more, you don’t ‘need’ them to be something else.
When the heart centre is moving to the next level
The heart centre is crucial to the development of your intuitive senses. Few of us live our life with a balanced heart chakra. Part of our journey in the physical body is the journey back to a fine balance between the inner world and the outer reality. This is achieved through the heart centre. The heart centre is the vehicle for our expression of love.
Love is not what most of us think it to be.
Love in the eyes of many is a quiet desperation to make someone else want us. And for some, this desperation is not a quiet one! It is loudly expressed through wanting a partner to change, to be someone different to what they are. This is not love, this is dependence! It is a dependence on another to make us feel wanted. For some people this is a craving that eats at their very soul! They start acting in destructive ways or creating destructive patterns, thus eventually stamping each other into broken individuals.
When the heart centre is moving into higher frequencies our psychic senses increase with little or no effort. This is because we’re able to then trust our own judgements, our own instincts, our own intuition. This is when you truly start to love the only person who is important in it all – YOU. When we fail to love ourselves the loving of another is impossible, however much we try and convince ourselves it isn’t the case. The first person for you to fall in love with, is yourself!
When the heart centre starts to attract the higher frequencies the shift can be enormous. To begin with, the heart centre may feel as though it’s going through a ‘crushing’ sensation. Perhaps something in the external world happens in order to trigger it. This could be a significant relationship change or perhaps the letting go of an addiction – whether this is a substance, a situation or a person. The (self) acknowledgement is a strong step forward.
The freedom comes in letting go.
When the heart centre has pushed into the higher frequencies ‘letting go’ becomes easier. Letting go of things that bother you, letting go of relationships that no longer work for those involved. The ‘letting go’ becomes painless because the choice is yours, the sense of love for the self becomes stronger than the dependence on the situation. The acceptance is a choice rather than a ‘putting up with it’. This means it becomes very easy to accept people as they are and not needing or wishing for them to be different.
The heart centre is often the hardest chakra to come into balance and with the higher frequencies. It is amazing how people fight to keep on being hard on themselves, to stay in unhappy situations or to try and ‘fix’ someone else. Often they don’t realise it is themselves who is making the situation unhappy. A simple flick of an internal switch is often the only thing needed, if only they could find that switch in the dark! The ‘dark’ is a lack of self-esteem, how do we gain it? It is often very simply achieved through exploring the inner workings and recognising priorities. Those priorities are towards the greater good for the self, it is not a selfish act, it is simply acknowledging and acting upon what is ‘truth’.
When the throat chakra is moving to the next level
The throat chakra is always one of the most interesting energies.
It is the location at which all our deepest secrets are stored!
The throat chakra will tell someone’s story from the point of birth up until the present time. How? All information is stored in the jaw-line. The unsaid will stack up in the jaw. It is noticeable how, when people explore the spiritual realms, their jaw will relax from any tension build up. It can take a bit of time but without fail the jaw will change. Those however, who never explore the spiritual perspective and have a tendency to dwell on things, will increase the tension into what will ultimately be a ‘stiff jaw’. Very fascinating to watch!
The throat chakra is our point of communication. It is often the first chakra to go through a shift into the higher frequencies. When this happens, it is possible to experience this as a blocked feeling in the throat followed by repeated temporary throat problems. During its movement into higher frequencies some people experience a shift in how something is expressed. They might start to speak up when previously they’ve kept quiet. They may start to get angry at things when to date they’ve sat heavily on what they want to say. They may have thought previously it wasn’t worth the effort to say something then they suddenly they start to speak up. When the throat has completed its cycle into higher frequencies generally it will speak a truth. This truth comes out peacefully and without hurtful emotion. It simply says what is ‘true’.
Once an Intuitive Sensitive has achieved a level of balance into the higher frequencies of the throat chakra, the information they pass on will be a ‘truth’ that the receiver finds hard to deny; it will resonate no matter how hard it feels to accept and even if it feels initially shocking, the receiver ‘knows’ it to be the truth.
When the third eye & crown are moving to the next level
The third eye and crown chakras are closely related. The crown processes what we perceive as the creator of life and the universe, whilst the third eye projects our instincts out into the world. When the third eye starts to move into the higher frequencies, there is often a stretching and pulling sensation across the front of the forehead, an increase in dreams, some of which can be perhaps prophetic in nature.
Psychic abilities and stronger intuition begin to develop in a very natural way. When these chakras have moved into the higher frequencies, the intuition and psychic skills are trusted in a very easy going and natural way. These are the times when we ‘know’ what we are perceiving is not our imagination running wild. We no longer find ourselves questioning every move we make in life, we just know it to be the right one. This takes time and practice to develop and strengthen. When channelling from this frequency information is not cruel, it can only be taken kindly and through personal choices that are free of judgement.
Sometimes people in life make choices the person next to them wouldn’t. The higher frequencies of this energy respect that. It does not seek to change, it merely informs. When people are aware of the possible pitfalls of a path in life, yet choose to continue, it becomes their own personal and informed choice.
This energy in its balance, does not seek approval, it does not seek to tell someone what they want to hear. It looks for the truth and tells it kindly.
Putting it into practice
Ten steps to encourage your chakras to the next level:
- Sit quietly and think about the theme that appears to be affecting you the most in your life
- Are you, for instance, frightened of all the current world changes?
- Do you have a relationship worry?
- Are you keen to alter your job, but are uneasy with that amount of change?
- Do you worry about your health, finances, general security?
- Whatever it is have a think about it. Let yourself now feel it.
- Where in the body do you feel it?
- What does it feel like? If you could talk to that feeling what would you say?
- Speak to it, if you are too embarrassed to speak out loud talk by writing to it your computer screen or on paper.
- Keep going until the feeling has diminished.
Then repeat your original question to yourself, see if the response has changed.
