AS INTUITIVE SENSITIVES WE ALL GO through the experience of feeling overwhelm in the solar plexus area. This is either a noticeably physical sensation or discomfort of feeling either too many of our own feelings or other people’s feelings, or feeling a strong response to our environment. This energy leads to irritability, an intense desire to escape, and even stress related illnesses.
There is, however, a solution to this part of the sensitive’s journey. It comes not only quite naturally with the advancement of the seventh sense (the honing of the skills of the sixth) but also as a natural response to our internal growth and healing.
This is the power of observing rather than absorbing.
Absorbing
As an ISP (Intuitive Sensitive Person), you absorb energy from our life, environment and other people. Everyone you have ever felt sorry for has had an impact on your solar plexus. Each person you have argued with and anyone who’s anger you have been on the receiving end of, has also impacted your solar plexus. You have absorbed that energy.
We store this through our life time. For the sensitive though, the pressure is not something we seek to maintain. It is something we find very easy to release because as a sensitive, a life of compromise is not an option. The shift from absorbing to observing takes place when we accept the soul reality rather than the illusory world of the personality. Many traditions believe that all pain, displeasure and unhappiness are based upon rebellion. Those who accept their lot in life in terms of who they are and waste no time with regrets, are very quickly able to pursue their path and thus the attainment of fulfilment.
This level of purification means the astral body becomes the quiet spirit of gentle stillness, the vehicle that reflects the peaceful nature of controlled emotions.
Absorbing the thoughts, feelings and emotions of others is an early stage of the full development cycle towards ‘enlightenment’. Once attained, the emotions of the physical self are at peace, feel neutral, and therefore deeply psychic. This is the power of observing.
The Power to Observe
The power to observe means we are able to view our world from the position of neutrality rather than absorb all the energy from our environment. As an Intuitive Sensitive, your wish to flourish in this world will necessitate this shift. At this level, the need or desire for ‘protection’ is no longer valid. We feel free to engage in any situation and a unique sense protection from harm. This is the point at which we fearlessly pursue our passions and seek to assist from a position of peaceful assistance rather than trying to fix the world’s wrongs.
We get there by releasing our attachments to the material world. This does not mean we have to live in poverty to be ‘pure’, it means we no longer base our decisions on what is materially possible and outcomes we may once have been attached to. This is when we rise above circumstances and pursue what is important. We no longer worry about what others think, we worry less and communicate more with ourselves as to the wonders of our internal and external existence. Within this space our intuitive senses increase dramatically simply because of the stillness of the inner world.
How do we get there?
The power to observe does not come through reducing Sensitivity or ‘protection’; it comes through detachment to outcome. This does not mean we have to push ourselves to let something go, it becomes natural and easy as a result of developing our internal wisdom. We become more conscious of all that is subtle. It is the subtle energy bodies that allow us to function within the inner planes, such as the emotional field. The balance of this energy allows us to exist within a framework that is free of the drama of everyday life. When we are still very sensitive to these energies we are functioning within them unconsciously. The conscious recognition of them leads to peace, understanding and freedom without denial from worry.
Build your light
Meditation is crucial. It develops mind control and clears the system of old energy. Attention to cause. When we feel flustered by an event in life, when we seek within rather than look to the external world for the cause the energy disperses.
When we have the courage to grieve, we release regret. Grieving is not crying, it is the acceptance that some events in life are not what we expect. The expansion of the solar plexus energy: this is through giving without the expectation of receiving.
Over-giving is actually the expectation of receiving.
The process of detachment through observing rather than absorbing is a natural process of the developing psychic. We can though accelerate our path by participating more in the above. Once attained, life is much more peaceful and content.
Sam, when I met her, was a successful woman with her own business. She was not though, content within her life. Her business had a recent set-back where an employee had been stealing from the company. This had left a large hole in the finances and she’d wondered quite how she had missed it. She wanted to change her work and direction as she found the necessary interaction within the company draining. She was often exhausted with an over loaded solar plexus through all the interaction with various people. Her irritability had increased, she’d had enough. In observing Sam’s energy I could see she actually enjoyed her work rather than disliked it. I gave her a few suggestions based on the principles of letting-go and detaching from outcome. As soon as she was able to ‘Observe’ rather than ‘Absorb’ she found an almost instant solution.
Recently, I saw Sam after a little time of no contact. She had lost one stone in excess weight, was absolutely glowing, had sorted out all her work issues to the point she was enjoying her business again and she’d begun an amazing new relationship. All by detaching from outcome, and learning how to observe rather than absorb…
