First of all you need to know who is in control.
You can be certain it’s not you! If you were in control it would be easy to make decisions.
Restriction dynamics are survival mechanisms locked in your unconscious. They’re programmed in there to help you steer clear of your feelings.
Why and when would that happen?
For example , if you’re thinking of trying something new, the unconscious instruction becomes, “Brace yourself for criticism!” In other words: freeze!
Freeze then becomes the unconscious restriction.
You should recognise it when you feel distracted from yourself.
You unintentionally self-sabotage because of a disconnection from wholeness. Your unconscious separates parts of you off from your feelings, and sorts your reactions into little compartments.
You have a compartment for Love, for Upset, Rejection, Criticism, Acceptance . . .
Everything is kept separated where there is unconscious restriction, rather than realising that all these components should be working together.
Because your unconscious is worried that it might access something uncomfortable. So your conscious instruction is to ignore whatever is actually bubbling under. You can see this whenever you feel yourself drifting off from owning some emotion or feeling.
The key is to stay present within yourself and ask questions.
What I found I got sucked into for a long time was that it is much easier to drift off with distractions. The problem with that is that you end up getting nothing done - you just wait.
And that doesn’t work because you simply end up going nowhere.
So what are three little things you can do to get out of unconscious restriction?
